Kaštelir-Labinci
About the destination
Kaštelir-Labinci is a charming rural municipality in inland Istria, located around 10 km from Poreč. With only about 1,500 residents, yet with as many as half of them engaged in agriculture, this place is part of UNESCO’s network of “Best Tourism Villages in the World”. It is characterised by vineyards, olive groves and historic buildings in a place where modern life meets tradition, and where the balance between contemporary development and preservation of local heritage is perfectly maintained.
What to expect?
Visitors can enjoy an authentic rural experience with tastings of local products (wine, olive oil, potatoes, honey and more) through events such as Free Friday Tasting and Gramperijada. Local infrastructure is steadily growing, while Robinson-style camps, a brewery and hunting tourism further enrich the offer. For nature lovers, there are easy walking and cycling trails through vineyards and olive groves, while viewpoints offer beautiful vistas towards Poreč and the sea.
