OPG Grebac - Monte Formento
The Grebac family from the village of Kovači near Kaštelir has been preserving an agricultural tradition spanning more than 120 years and is today recognised as a producer of outstanding extra virgin olive oil. Under the Monte Formento brand, their oils — including monovarietal Buža, Leccino, and Istarska bjelica (Bianchera), as well as their award-winning Premium Mix — have been featured in the prestigious global Flos Olei guide. A particular highlight of this family farm is its contemporary tasting room located in the middle of a centuries-old olive grove planted by their great-great-grandfather. Visitors can enjoy a personalised experience through several tasting programmes. The estate is also ideal for families, as children can spend time with domestic animals such as miniature goats and donkeys, making a visit to the Grebac family a complete experience of authentic Istrian village life.
