You have probably already heard that Istria is a paradise for cyclists, and a large part of that paradise stretches along the trails of our Poreč Riviera. Along the legendary Parenzana, the most famous route connecting the coast and the inland, you can ride the section from Poreč to Vižinada past vineyards, olives, tunnels and old railway switches. It is ideal for gravel and recreational cyclists and also crosses hills towards Motovun and Grožnjan.
Tar Vabriga and Vižinada offer diverse bike tours connecting these places with Funtana, Kaštelir Labinci or Poreč, successfully revealing hidden corners of nature, Baredine, the Kontija forest and the observatory in Tićan. Easy family bike tours such as the Olive Trail of Tar Vabriga are an opportunity for all ages to enjoy riding together, from the youngest to the most experienced cyclists.
At the Bike Center Poreč, the largest cycling centre in Croatia, it is possible to rent high quality mechanical and electric bicycles, use service and shuttle options, and join guided tours. Within the Bike Center there is also a bike park with a pump track polygon and a children’s circular track ideal for families and recreation. Alongside the cycling network, the Riviera also offers ten marked running and walking routes that lead through picturesque landscapes, perfect for anyone who enjoys walking, trail running or light jogging. All of this makes Poreč Riviera one of the most well known and best equipped bike destinations in the Mediterranean.
