121 Olive Cycling Trail

The starting and finishing point of this family cycling trail is the public fountain in the centre of Vabriga, from where the route descends along a gravel road towards the sea. It leads to the small fishing harbour of Santa Marina, known for its restaurants serving authentic fish specialties. The trail then continues through the heart of the peninsula, surrounded by olive groves, towards Lanterna Campsite. After passing the campsite, the route reaches Stancija Blek, also known as Old Tar, where the first settlement that would later develop into present-day Tar was founded during the Middle Ages. On the return journey, the route crosses the main road and heads back to the starting point.

While in Vabriga, it is worth visiting the unique olive grove of 88 olive trees planted in the shape of the word TITO. It was created in honour of the former Yugoslav president in the late 1980s. The olive grove is located directly alongside the main Tar to Poreč road.
