146 Trail of the Captains of Sveti Lovreč

This historical town has one of the best-preserved medieval fortifications in Istria. In Venetian times, it was the headquarters of Captains, military commanders of the Istrian region. 

The tours starts in Poreč; riding along country roads and forest trails we arrive to Ženodraga. After crossing the highway, we pass Baderna and continue to St. Lovreč. Here we suggest making a short break, taking a walk through the historical town center and having a coffee right next to the town walls.

On the return to Poreč, we ride through a hilly area of south Poreč countryside. This part of the tour is very dynamic, with many short climbs and descents. Last part of the tour passes by Stancija Bečić, where you can try out the local XC course, and continues along the shady forest trail to Brulo resort area near Poreč town center.
