Marina Funtana

The marina facilities include the reception, toilets and showers, café bars, parking places, laundry and a technical service, supermarkets and a charter service. Other services, including fuel supply, can be found at the marina Vrsar, about 1.5 nautical miles to the South.

The landmark for entering the port is the village with its bell tower and the lighthouse positioned at the breakwater extremity. Because of numerous shoals, cliffs and reefs yachtsmen are recommended to sail very carefully through the bay. The safest way to approach the Funtana’s harbour is from the West.

Regulations for foreign navigators

For sailing or docking in Croatian waters a special permission is required. The only exceptions are the sport rowing vessels not longer than 3 meters, or up to 3 meters with an engine bellow 3.67 kW.

After entering Croatian waters the vessel owner or captain has to dock in the nearest port for international sea traffic, to report the arrival and fill up the request for issuing a sails permission.

Permissions can be time limited or unlimited, but there are no restrictions concerning the territory. The tourist tax amount varies according to the length of your permanence.
