Mala galerija
The Mala galerija is located on the ground floor of the theater building. Its programming focuses on new media, photography, and smaller exhibition projects, with a special emphasis on presenting younger authors.
Situated on the ground floor of the Poreč Public Open University building at Narodni trg 1, Mala galerija hosts numerous solo and group exhibitions by domestic and foreign artists.
During the 1990s, art historian Zvonko Maković, PhD, introduced the art public to intriguing names from the Croatian art scene. He presented current trends with an exceptional curatorial sense for modern and conceptual art, featuring many of the most prominent figures in Croatian fine arts. Through these efforts, Mala galerija became a distinguished gallery space for both the city of Poreč and Croatia.
The gallery serves as a valuable promoter of fine arts on the national and international stage. Programmatically oriented toward new media, photography, and smaller exhibition projects, it is particularly dedicated to showcasing younger authors and photographers.
